I thought politicians using policy to help corporations was an American ideal.

Flipping the numbers around, 80% will keep their keis despite increased taxes, 10% might go to a standard car. 25% of kei owners downsized recently. Sounds like a growing market, with politicians working out ways to get that tax gap filled by saying it's outdated and shouldn't be subsidized.

THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING !!!!! Kei cars are my passion. You have said it right it's a crime against humanity. Kei cars should not be punished and on top of that Kei cars should make it world wide. Kei cars are freaking genius they get over 60MPG they are cheap to buy and before all this tax nonsense was economically brilliant. what better way to help the environment than to promote driving smaller more efficient cars.
what they are doing now is nothing but lining the pockets of the rich.
once again instead of working for the benefit of the people, the politicians are working for the corporate shareholders .
