One of my dad's friend's might be. He brought a car last year, and it did quite well . It won first place in the Postwar Racecars class (01).

We're staying at the Asilomar Conference Grounds ( http://www.visitasilomar.com )

It's not too far from the golf course, and it's not ridiculously expensive. Hope you can make it!

I've been trying to keep this kind of a secret until I can hopefully sometime soon get into his garage to take some pics for Oppo, but if it doesn't happen soon I'll use the ones my dad took. In addition to the above GT40, which btw raced in Le Mans in 1966 , he has an original Shelby Cobra 427 that's been in the family since near-new, an Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA race car, a Messerschmitt bubble car, a modern Ford GT, an Audi R8, and a few AMG Mercedes.

Very smart. The hotel prices can get a bit silly.

My good friend, Larry, actually has a house in Carmel, so thankfully accommodations won't be my issue.

Mostly. After running the cowl tag, I determined that it was originally red and gray, so it's been repainted. We also had the carburetor rebuilt. Other than that, it's all original! I don't know too much about its history, but I believe it sat in a barn from 1983-2012. That's because there's an inspection sticker on the windshield (from 1983) that showed about 1000 miles less than when we got it in 2012.
