I was on a road trip from Erie to Michigan in a Versa for 4 days. Since I feel it doesn't deserve a full review, I thought I would give you all some of it's finer points:

• The seats are the most uncomfortable I have ever sat in ( and I'm 6ft, and 160lbs). With no lumbar support at all, my back was hurting after 30 miles. Our total trip was 660 miles.

• There is barely any storage in the "center console". Also, a standard soda bottle won't fit in the rear most cup holders. We tried, got a bottle stuck, and almost ripped out the "console" in the process

• I used to think the N/A SH Forester I drive was slow. I was wrong. The Forester feels like a rocket in comparison. It's nice being back in a vehicle that does something other than sit there and make noise when you touch the throttle, let alone floor it.

• The trunk and hood release are right next to each other under the dashboard. We only needed to see the engine once, not every time somebody wanted something in the trunk.

• The CVT wasn't bad, it just needed more power.

If you are looking for basic transportation, this is it.

I'd hate to get involved in an accident with one of those things. They just look so...flimsy.

The cube is where it's at for Nissans cheaper car segment. It does everything the Versa does and has a good selection of optional extras. And it's not THAT much more money. I never got the point of the super cheap cars, yea they're good as basic transport but you can get a better used car for the same money that'll be just as reliable.

I have the same opinion. I had a Versa as a rental while my A4 was in the shop, it was awful. Never in my life had I wished I still had my old Subaru Legacy so badly. Decent used car for under $10k? No problem. For an extra $2110, you can get into a Fiesta over a Versa.
