!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Mechanically sound, 83k original miles, white on red, needs some interior work. It was $3200 a month ago. Does $2800 seem like a fair price?

the only Cadillacs of the 70s that really rock my... boat are the '78 Sedan Deville and '76 Eldo convertible. The older De Villes are cool but would just be so hard to drive. They made much more of an effort on the two aforementioned cars, and it REALLY shows. So I'd hold out for one of those. Just my .02

NP NP NP ZOMG I love these cars and almost got one as my first car for $400 about 10 years ago. White on red leather. Even now I regret not buying it, and I still want one.

Hard to drive? Because they're utterly huge? Or handle like a wet sleeping bag? My mom had one years ago...even back then it was huge but not wildly so. Superb for just tooling around or floating down the interstate. Country roads, heavy traffic, corners? Not so much...
I waxed it. Once. Thought I'd never finish...

Are you implying you can only own one car at a time?

I have a four-car garage, and three spaces are filled. The fourth is needed for non-car stuff (lawnmower, snowblower, gardening tools, etc). Plus, at 16, I'm lucky to have ONE car, never mind two.

Buy it, work on it in your spare time and drive it with the thought that this is only going to increase in value. Things I wish I had done in years past when I look at the value today.

Step 1: Pay the man (or woman, but probably man, let's be honest)
Step 2: Fix brakes
Step 3: Eat up massive swaths of interstate highway in luxurious comfort
I can find no flaws in this plan.

My dad had a very similar '74 - green with green plaid interior. No matter what you pay for the car, you'll be paying quite a bit more for gas! It's not a very good car, but it's a great experience.

Step 4: Run out of gas after 12 miles and go broke trying to fill the tank again.

But what a way to go broke!
