More Avenger for you.

Kinja'd!!!

Avenger has some choice words for you. Mostly "screw you I'm a good car."

Kinja'd!!!

"Ring of Fire" tail-lights are awesome.

I would drive one of these, but only with the V6.

Had a few as rental cars. I'd sooner yank a toenail than park one in my driveway. Brakes suck, steering sucks, interior was never well put together......and in all cases the cars had less than 10k miles on them. I'm sure the pentastar V6 is a good engine for this size of car but every day I'd walk out, realize I could've had a GTI for about the same price (As an R/T), and I'd sob my eyes out.

This, the Journey and the Caravan are the remnants of "Old Dodge". They all need to be sent to pasture

With all the cash Dodge is giving back on these, you could probably get an R/T for closer to 19k. Maybe less even. And for economy hatch money, you're getting almost 300 horsepower and a decent daily driver.

I'm pretty sure the Journey and GC are two of Dodges best sellers, no?

They are but that doesn't discount them from relic status. The Avenger is already being replaced by something that better fits Dodge's new style. The same needs to happen to the Journey and GC

Well they're going for that low of a price since they're phasing it out. It is a cheap car for the size/power but even for basic transport I liked the V6 camry I had for a rental more. I don't care if it costs more, I kinda get it. Nothing stood out to me on the camry and I think that's the point. And with the V6 you just press the gas pedal for a second or two to go to highway speeds or to do a pass. I just can't recommend the avenger to people.

And if all you want is some muscle, used mustangs and camaros would be a better buy. I saw a challenger R/T with the 6-speed manual, two years old, for 22,000$. It had about 35k miles on it, yes, but for just buying a nice engine, it's way better than an avenger. I hope dodge learned a few lessons and gets it right with the next model like chrysler hopefully did with the new 200.
