my wrx takes 0 time to blow ice cold, in Texas triple digit heat. Literally once you turn it on, you get a waft of warmth as it purges the hot air in the tubing, then it's icey.

We need to combine it with this one and you can be living in your own personal snowglobe.

AC that snows, I'll take that here in Florida. Frosting my drinks in front of the vents isn't good enough.

But holy hell does it load the engine. I sometimes have to rev- match my up shifts because the revs drop so fast.

I've seen that before, it was a faulty low pressure switch causing the evaporator core to freeze up. It's pretty cool though.

YES!!!! My roommates never believe me when I say the ac drops my revs too quick! Especially when trying to grab fifth at speeds less than 60.
Add a lightweight flywheel to the mix and it's barrels of fun

Without trying to sound like some kind of elitist car-guy snob, can we please stop with the postings on Jalopnik that display a complete ignorance of how things work on cars? If I wanted to read commentary from people who know nothing about cars, I'd read Consumer Reports.
Clearly the A/C on this Equinox is doing an inadequate job in dehumidifying the incoming air, sometimes due to a clogged evaporator drain, sometimes due to low refrigerant charge, or even a leaking heater core. Other times, shit just happens if it's south-Florida-humid.
