Just ran into this vertical video on reddit. Thought i would pass it on. When this guys son was 8 years old, he told his dad he would get him a 57' Chevy on his 57th birthday...and does.
Here is the OP's story:

Well, that brought a tear to my eye. I love these stories.

After thanking me my dad's next reaction would have been "Why not a two door?"

Yeah, me too. Vertical videos are the worst.

My friend and his Dad finished restoring a '57 Chevy Bel Air a couple years before his Dad unexpectedly passed away. Needless to say the car is very special to my friend.

"Because your special, but not more than some new Mercedes special."

Would have been my reaction. A four door, are you kidding me?
Of course, after, thanking, hugging, and crying enough to make my son feel awkward.
Another thought, there should be no crying in Jalopniking.

Not gonna lie. I would probably react the same way if someone gave me a 57. I have wanted one since I was a small child.
