I plan to take this opportunity to fill a gap in my anime watcher's portfolio, much as I did with Yamato 2199 . Now, if only the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross could get similar treatment; I did actually force myself to watch most of it as-is, but I can think of few series that would benefit more from a proper update. There are plenty of fans who had their first exposure to the franchise through its far more modern sequels, after all. (And then there are the fans like me, who saw 7 first, and continue to like it. Fans like me don't get to interact with the Macross community much.)

Well prepare for disappointment, because nothing Macross-related happens in the USA without the consent of Harmony Gold, and Harmony Gold are douchebags.

That didn't stop me from watching 7, Zero, Plus and Frontier. ;-) I tend to prefer subs to dubs, anyway.

Personally, though I prefer dubs. Even mediocre ones. I just can't stand the Japanese, specifically the female characters. It's so shrill and I want to claw my ears off. D:
