"It's a "Porch-uh"" (ikazuchi)

"Burt," my trusty truck of 15 years, has gone to a new home. Already slightly regretting the decision as the Tahoe won't be able to load up all the lumber I need to buy this weekend. At least he's going to a good home and will be able to frolic in the hills of east county San Diego.

Haha! I did play that song a few times after I bought it, though I do love me some Bob Seger.

The budget ballooned dramatically after looking at a bunch of '01-'05s under $8K that were in poor shape and all over 200K miles.
Ended up with a 2007 LTZ with 93K miles that is becoming my daily driver (and the M5 gets more garage time now). Everything seemed mostly okay when I bought it, but there were a few things on the Due Bill that had to be fixed: lights were flickering (bad alternator), driver's mirror motor was broken and the assembly was loose, and the compressor for the air suspension was failing. It's now back at the dealer after they failed to fix two of the problems (and the compressor failed while they had it) so of the month I've owned it, it's been in the shop about a week. Hopefully picking it up this afternoon.
Other than that, I have a few cosmetic items to fix: cracked dash, worn out buttons, worn out finishes, etc. I know it's 7 years old, but GM needs to work on interior durability. I can't tell what half the HVAC buttons are because the faces has worn off.

with GM trucks it's shit...but durable shit. we had a 97 K 2500 suburban with about 150,000 miles on it and the interior is way worse than my 97 cruiser with 240,000 on it. WAY worse

Just to be cheezy, when I bought my 09 I plugged in my iPhone and played that song driving it off the lot.
