Well, it might be old news but I was doing a routine check of Piloti's new site and found out they have some shoes that will allegedly be available for sale this year, including the ones I think I want.: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Also, it looks like they're carrying all of them in my size. YES.

Yeah. I'm very happy Piloti is making a comeback. I have a hard time finding shoes I like, and Pumas just don't hold up like Pilotis.

Socks and sandals? That's pretty cool too.

Ouch. Major fashion faux pas!

I don't really do that, but I also don't give a crap about fashion. Fashion to me is "let's try not to wear the same t-shirt two days in a row"

I absolutely love my Piloti Prototipos. I bought them in 2008 (I think?) and they're still going strong despite the miles and miles I've walked in 'em.
As soon as they're on sale again I'm picking up another pair for when these finally wear out.

Yeah, I am definitely getting a couple pair. I don't know if it's just me, but I get pretty frustrated driving with "normal" shoes. Could be the 30 mile commute and traffic.

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but I didn't figure it was worth a new one...
There was a post about Pumas ( http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/puma-motorspor… ) and I was wondering if you've tried them as well? People say the Pumas aren't good for walking (no grip, stiff soles). How about the Piloti shoes?
Thanks!

I've read the same thing about the Pumas. Unfortunately (fortunately?), I have not used the Pumas long term, but I have tried them on and noticed that their soles are thinner. My guess is that's the explanation for lack of support?
