Hyundai is dropping the 2.0T out of the available Genesis Coupe offerings, leaving only the V6. I think it's time they add the V8 from the Genesis Sedan! Any chance Hyundai will actually do this?

Maybe, if it sells well enough for them to get bold enough to properly challenge the Camaros, Mustangs, and Corvettes.

High chance of this. The Z/G35/Q whatever twins are weak at the moment, and now's the time for them to strike before Nissan replaces the platform and does the more power thing themselves.

I hope so, they would be far more competitive. However the V6 would have to drop down to the pricepoint of the 2.0T and the V8 would have to take over the V6's old price point. IMHO it would have to be below the price of the Mustang GT to sell well. Especially with the new body style coming out. V6 should be in the mid 20s, V8 should be just above $30k, but def under $35k.

I also read somewhere they're dropping the GT Trim, so if you want the V6, you have to get it with that stupid looking wing.

I'm just excitedly waiting for what the real next-gen Genesis Coupe will look like.

If they sell the 3.8 T Genesis Coupe at a price between a V6 Mustang and a Mustang GT, a little less than the half-way point, I can see it gaining traction. I do agree that a V8 option would have to be priced at least as well as, if not less than, the Mustang GT and Camaro SS to succeed.

That said, fuck the Genesis Coupe if the Kia thingy ever comes out.

I goofed. The V6 is not turbocharged.
