Simply because there's something refreshing about seeing a super rare sportscar being used the way it's supposed to be and not as an investment parked in a climate controlled garage.
There's also an onboard video of the 6 liter AMG powered midship doing a few laps at proper speed, including overtaking a C6 Corvette with ease in the twisty bits of the Nordschleife.

I always used to pull out the Imperator when myself & some friends would try to stump each other. That and the Lotec 250C. It always worked, too. I'm pretty sure there's never been a car with a periscope made that wasn't really cool.

It really is a very cool vehicle. I also really like how Mercedes was okay with it being sold as a semi Mercedes car with a whole lot of parts used from their bin as well.
