EDIT: post deleted by it's author. That was quick!
1996 with 127k on it, manual transmission sedan that's bone stock with 2 previous owners. I can get it for $2500. Buy it and flip it? Buy it and hoon it? *car pictured is from a quick google search*

There's a lot of questions to be answered first. How old are you? Do you have to pay for gas and insurance? Is this your first car? Or is this just a project car on the side?

What trim? GS/LS/RS got the 140hp non-vtec B18. GS-Rs got the 8k rpm devil-touched B18. (I had a GS-R, still regret letting it go)

This is just a craigslist find. I DD my E90 328i so I guess you could say this would be a project car.
I'd buy it and hoon it for a little, give it an extensive detail, and sell it for profit.

That was really fast.

Because if it a first car it is a great car. But if it is just a car for an on the side project, I would flip it. Why? because if you have a great daily driver, and you want a fun car to keep, you should get something that is a little bit more fun. A rwd mid engined car. Or atleast rwd. A miata. Or a toyota mr2.

They don't stay available for very long, especially if they're clean. There's a reason for that.

If you find a low priced GS-R that is in good condition, buy it. Spend money on a fantastic alarm/immobilizer system as they are big targets for thieves which is sad. The GS-R's are worth having, any of the other trims are more "meh."

My 97 GSR four door was a beat up basket case that turned out to have about 210-220k miles, even though the odo said 157k , and MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT have been stolen and I still regret selling it.

They've all got stories. It's a part of the charm!

yup. lol. when i was selling it a perspective buyer did some digging and found that it was never owned by the guy I bought it from, and it was last registered in 07 with 180,000 miles.

When you see a car without plates in the picture (not just blurred out), check the phone number. Usually under priced cars with no plates are scams. They dont' want you to know the car is from out of state and probably just some random car they have pictures of.

Pictures posted aren't of the car. The posting was deleted before I could save some of them.
