Now that I've opened my car options up to RWD cars again, the 2015 Mustang is a serious consideration. However, I still think I'm going to end up with an FR-S or Focus ST. That Mustang Ecoboost is mighty tempting though.

Meh, idk. It's gonna be more expensive and I'd have to buy new. Plus, it's still a Mustang. lol Not really hating, but Mustang Fanboys are some of the most annoying Fanboys in my book. I do love the idea of it having a turbo 4cyl though. haha I'm likely going to end up getting a used FR-S.

Honestly if it's in your budget you HAVE to go Mustang. It's sooooo much better. Forget the fanboi's if everybody bought cars to dodge annoying fans no one would drive BMW's because of all the asshat parkers.

Lol fair enough. I have an '05 4Runner (rwd) right now, and I'm hoping to get a new car end of summer or fall. Working on paying my medical bills right now, and then gonna start saving up a down payment. I also need enough to get a set of snow tires at the time of purchase too, because RWD and IL lol. One benefit to the Mustang is that I get X-Plan pricing too. I think it will end up coming down to the test drives, honestly. I have driven a friend's FR-S already, and I loved it. I'm also a huge Toyota Fanboy haha

I get X Plan too! :)

To me the FRS doesn't hold a candle to the Mustang in looks, but the drive is of course more important. And yes Snow Tires (get some of those blizzzzzaakkkkss) are important (I'm in MI, I tend to run allseasons though on my FWD Milan)

I ran a good set of all seasons on my 4Runner and it did fairly well through the winter (especially with the Auto LSD), but some drives to work felt a lot like rally stages. lol I figure if I'm going to have another RWD car I want some blizzaks on the back at least. I do love the looks of the new Mustang, but I also love the FR-S. The test drive will definitely be the main factor, and price since I will be able to pick up a used FR-S for at least $4k under the price of a new Mustang Ecoboost (not factoring in the sales tax, TT&L, and dealer destination fees). Hell, that's a set of wheels w/ Blizzaks and a catback for the FR-S right there! lol

Also, I hope you were running all terrains, much better for trucks. The AllSeason guys are on my little Milan.

My Wife's Jeep Commander has All Terrains, and she wishes they were even bigger lol

Until the FR-S has the full Crawford Performance treatment and is running 500hp! MUAH HA HA HA!

Also, I tend to prefer cars that aren't as "cool" by societal standards. FR-S is in the lead right now, but if the test drive of the Mustang captures my heart... I also hate the name of the Mustang Ecoboost. :/

Well I know it will be ridiculous! But budget constraints... haha Especially since I may end up needing to pay my insurance deductible again at the start of next year. :/
