I've wanted a two door coupe that's decent on gas, manual, with a rear seat. RWD is okay. But now that I have seen FOUR OF THEM in the past week, and both times I did there was a PAIR OF THEM driving together, on separate freeways (car were all different colors I think) maybe its a sign. They're not the most obvious of vehicle (I often mistake the newer ones for a Veloster from the front) but I literally cannot remember the last time I've seen ONE on the road, nevermind FOUR of them in a week.
I wonder what used ones are going for...

Expect 'Em above $10,000 with clear titles.

You can get a decent one for mid-teens. Anything more, nope.

I like the Genesis Coupe a lot! It's a Korean Mustang. And it looks nice.

Yeah I was kinda wondering about the depreciation.... and the rarity. Only one '11 for less than $24k near me, and its horribly modified.

the earlier ones had cheapness build quality issues, and the facelifted cars just look ugly
I don't know, I was never a huge fan of those. I have a friend who used to like have a fetish for those cars when they first came out, but that died down over time.

Dude! That's like, eight wheels! Totally a sign. I think 8 is a mystical number

I'm so annoyed Hyundai don't sell the Genesis in the UK, I can buy every other car that they manufacture except this one for what reason.

Genesis
19:7 ... "Please, my brothers," he begged, "
don't
do such a wicked thing. ...
no
not so, I beseech you, my brethren, do not commit this evil.

Whenever i see one i think "that doesn't quite do it for me."
That's really my only criticism. Since you're...you know...not me, that likely wont be a problem.
So much of that car is straight up goodness. They should get more credit than they do.

Genesis 3:13 — "The serpent deceived me"

Why not? Not the prettiest things, but they seem like solid cars. I'd drive one.

That serpent was a Hyundai salesman.

They're fine enough, I suppose. They look fairly decent (except for that rear side window thing) and drive like a Korean Mustang. If you get one, go V6, not turbo 4.
But here's the thing, there's a long list of cars that can be had for $10-20k that are just better. Lots better. That's the main reason you shouldn't get a Genesis. Also the people who tend to buy them... don't wanna be one of those types.

I've never driven one, but a friend of mine has one and loves the shit out of it.
If you can find a good, clean one, is say test drive it. They seem like really neat cars.
