depends where in Tdot you experianced it...Ottawa has two seasons, winter and construction - traffic is based on that.

Ok good Toronto is worse than that. What gets me about Toronto isn't that the highway was bad (it was due to construction) it is that the surface streets were awful. Beyond awful really. I've NEVER experienced traffic on surface streets like I did in Toronto. Not even in Bristol TN after a NASCAR race have I had traffic like that. (170,000 people exiting a town of 10,000).

The desk clerk at the hotel we stayed at used the same damn joke. We use the same joke here in Michigan. What's frustrating is we genuinely didn't have a spring season 2 years in a row now. I like mild weather. This April 15 snow and April 16 80 degree weather freaking sucks.

Is it really that bad? I've driven in rush hour traffic from Kanata to Vanier the other week. It wasn't too bad, with the exception of people being stupid at the wheel.

Or maybe some proper transit. More roads for the Jalops.

its brutal; however does depend on time of day and destination - kanata to orleans? non rush hour about 30min w rush hour 90min +

The worst part is when people are stopped in the middle of the road for whatever reason. I saw a car abandoned in the left lane that day, no warnings from anything, the car was stopped near the Canal on the 417. Everybody was rubbernecking too. Before and after that point, It was fine. It was around 3:00-5:00 PM on that day.

Toronto is always worse. I frequently have to travel in for site visits and its always in and out during rush hour. I spent 3 hours getting 30 minutes away..... it's an hour and a half (tops) to my house from The airport area. I was 5 hours one day. I need a jet pack.

Especially good news this year for us whom live in the easterly sections....Sussex Construction. Minto bridge? Closed until 2016. St. Patrick? Construction. All your easterly Rideau River crossings are belong to us.
