DD: allroad

Track: 328xi

Burn: V60 (It's barely a wagon, cargo space is tiny. And C&D says the only thing sporty about it is the engine.)

'and C&D says' well that's the problem isn't it? Drive one yourself...

V60 is at 330 hp or so with AWD (48k loaded), vs. Audi allroad at 220 hp loaded (upper 40s), 328xi is at 60k loaded at 240hp. I'd say >90hp is a lot.

Have you driven one? Did you actually process what I typed?

"The only sporty thing about it is the engine."

Their complaints are regarding the ride quality and the handling, and say the chassis cannot keep up with the engine. C&D leans very much towards the sporty end of the spectrum so I give their opinion extra weight. Horsepower is important, but it ain't everything. I have driven very powerful cars with miserable handling. I'd rather have a balanced machine. The 328xi is that.

And while I have not driven a V60, I sat in one...for a 'wagon' it's pretty poor in terms of practicality..only 43 cubic feet with the seats folded flat, with a very awkward hatch opening. My Golf R has significantly more usable space. I can't possibly choose it over an allroad for that reason.

Burn the Volvo, I say.

I'm pretty sure everyone who has driven a F30 has bitched in some way, regarding numb steering and diesel-y noise.

My point was that no matter what your point is, you're turning down 90hp at the same price.
