In order to put it in drive it had to be in neutral. Who leaves a running car in neutral. W T F? At least I'm not aware of an automatic that doesn't require the brake to be on to get out of park or a button to be pushed on the shifter. However if the vehicle is in neutral getting in to drive is no problem.

Something about the dog being a granny on the clutch. Something about requiring a new gearbox after grinding the syncromeshes.

Not to mention, you know, flooding the car :p
But that's what you get you don't double clutch like you should.
