I hate my steering wheel.
It's enormous and spindly, and awkward to hold. To this end I wrapped it in two layers of vinyl strips, which turned out to be a bad idea as under heavy steering input they slid around slightly and became a complete mess.
But what about commercial products to beef up the feel of my wheel?
Something like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ties in to the look of my car's exterior, and would give me something that I could actually wrap my hands around.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
What I'm worried about is if steering wheel covers are perceived as a nonaccessory that's used by teenaged girls and people who lap up the description of that cover ("turn any interior into that of a race car"? Really? Come on.).

Mouthbreathers use steering wheel covers. Just buy a new steering wheel.

I didn't really like them... until I had one. My dad got an Accord with a nice leather wrap and it was the second most comfortable wheel I've ever driven with. Turned that steering wheel into something a man could use without aching fingers.

I bought one for my cruiser on a whim at o'reily and it matches my interior well and now my hands don't get sticky. I don't love them, but if its not contrasting colors, no one cares.

My fiancée uses a steering wheel cover. She drives a Honda Insight Hybrid. It has flowers on it.
I'd suggest a vinyl or leather wrap kit that you can do yourself, and it'll look good.

I haven't put one on my corolla yet, by my Montero has one very similar to the one you linked. I love it. My BMW doesn't have one since it's a heated steering wheel. The pic kind of shows it in my Montero. Very comfy, would probably feel awkward if I took it off.

Got one for a 1992 Tempo because the wheel got so cold in winter otherwise could barely hang on.
