The Canadian Grand Prix is next weekend! The race on GT6 will be at Cape Ring Periphery. If you're interested, comment below. Full details after the jump.
Event details:
Saturday, the
7th of June
.
Lobby will go live at 6:30PM pacific/7:30PM mountain/8:30PM central/9:30pm eastern.
The car used for the race will be the Formula Gran Turismo.
Session times:
Practice session will last for 50 minutes before the race.
Qualifying session will begin after the practice session ends and lasts for 10 minutes.
The race will begin immediately after the qualifying session at 7:30PM pacific/8:30PM mountain/9:30PM central/10:30pm eastern.
YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO RETURN TO THE TUNING MENU AFTER QUALIFYING! ALL TUNING AND PRACTICING MUST BE FINALIZED BEFORE QUALIFYING!
If you did not put on the correct tires they can be swapped out for the right ones in the pits after your first lap into the race if you bought them beforehand.
Race Format:
Track: Cape Ring — Periphery
Laps: 33 (This race is designed to last 45 minutes)
Grid Start, Fastest Qualifiers First
Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption: Normal
Minimum of 2 pit stops required
Mechanical Damage: Heavy (Pitting your car will fix any damage you have received)
Skid Recovery Force, Active Steering, Active Stability Management, Traction Control prohibited.
Driving Line and ABS allowed.
If you do not have a Formula Gran Turismo car, it can be purchased from the Gran Turismo dealership for 2 million credits.
This event is open to everybody. It's intended to be fun but at the same time treated as a serious race.

Hey, do you want to do a 24 min or 48 min (though I think it can only be laps, 24 laps then...) of Le Mans race this weekend? I should actually be around for that.

48 minutes sounds great, Loudmusic mentioned it today when we played online. He volunteered to prepare the thread on it in an effort to try to get as many people as possible, especially those of us who have all played online together several times.
