I go to a lot of damn car shows. Three, between last night and today. I don't really have any pictures from last night, but from today, I have a handful I'm prepared to put on the internet. Above is one of three cobras that made an appearance this morning. All three were kits, however one kit had all original 1966 engine/trans/suspension, it was just the frame/body/lights and minor accessories that weren't original.
Ghibli. "the only one in north america" as the driver stated. It's a dealership show & display car. Twin turbo v6 that makes a pretty nice noise when womped on.
Cheapskate racing. FFR Roadster with 3 link rear suspension. It's not painted because it's regularly raced, and paint jobs don't last. Best bumper sticker ever.
8C Competizione. Drool worthy. Owned by one of the organizers of a local Cars and Coffee event.
This mustang was hiding quite the secret underneath. Rear mounted twin turbo kit. Dyno'd 745HP.

Next up, I got lunch, dusted the wagon off for the millionth time, and headed to another show with the lady.
This rat rod had the best colors on it. flat black, but the door graphics were positively high end. Looked beautiful. Interior was as done as any rat rod is. A piece of sheet metal with gauges and switches with a P-Touch label under them. The floor went as far back as the seat, no top, because who needs that?
Dodge Charger 383 Magnum with the Air Grabber hood (not opened).
Best interior ever. I love houndstooth pattern, so I was sold on this little blue and white Nash Metropolitan. Absolutely beautiful restoration. The owners (more specifically the wife) though it would be more for the other women at the shows, but it's a big hit with everyone, much to her surprise. Owners had a courtesy plate on their other car (30's ford) that said "LAST 1" but this one managed to get the "1 MORE" plate. They said their next car will probably say "I LIED."
WAGON! Also, natural lens flare, just because it was bright, and I had the wrong lens for this at the time.
That's all for tonight, I have another post to work on, about car spotting in a very unlikely place...just need to get through all the pictures.

the driver is a salesman, that's why I put it in quotes. I'm sure he has not one, but 3 bridges and a tunnel to sell me with the car. Beyond that, he was a nice guy, and actually talked about the car.
Ghibli Pro Tip: don't leave the windows down on a windy day, the car alarm will keep going off.

FB is the worst thing to make me deal with. I'm really good at being inactive, and not checking things. Besides, I don't sync facebook with my phone, so i'll just have to copy the info to my calendar anyway.

looks like it's even more than 1/2 hour shorter for me. I could probably leave at 7, and still arrive just after 8. I'll have to nab my boss's EZpass for it. I should really just get my own, but I couldn't be bothered. I'll have to stop at one of those rest stops that sell them, because it takes forever for them to show up in the mail.
