Every year the Central Indiana chapter of the Porsche Owner's Club meets in the historic district of Zionsville and every year I don't go because it's too damn early in the morning. But this year I am, you should too!
The event, called CruZionsville, begins at 10a.m. on the 14th of June, an hour after the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, interestingly enough.
The website says they expect 120+ Porsches to show up and judging by last year, where everything from 914's to 356's to the 2003 FABCAR Daytona Prototype were present, it's going to be very diverse show.
Rumor has it the Carrera GT that lives around here might drop by as well. Entrance is free unless you register a Porsche so there's no reason not to come by if you're in the area!

If I have that day off I might as well show up! Although that would be a 2 hour drive. . . probably worth it though. If the Carrera GT is yellow, then I have seen that one at some Indy Cars and Coffee events!

Hope to see you there, man! I think that's the CGT I've heard about. In Zionsville it's like this mythical beast no one's ever seen in person, but have heard from other people about it.

I have only seen it once so it is still an event when I see it. There is also an F40 in the Indy region. . . I have never seen that one though.

Holy crap there's an F40 around here?! That's freaking awesome. The coolest car I've seen in person here in Indy has been a Lotus Exige 260 with a custom front splitter and rear diffuser. Dude still had the autocross painter's tape number on his door while he was driving around. That dude's my hero, whoever he is.

I have seen one around my town as well. At a Walgreens of all places. I also recently saw not one but two Supras!!!

My dad loves old Porsches, I think we'll be dropping by. Post in Oppo and maybe we can say hi!

I bought my first e30 a block from downtown Zionsville. Actually, I will be in town this weekend because I need to pick up my Alfa in Columbus, IN and move it to Detroit. Maybe I'll be by.

When I went to school at Butler, I visited Zionsville once. Kinda creeped me out, like a Children of the Corn vibe. Everywhere there were "Help Wanted" signs (this was at the height of the 08-09 recession, so that made that really strange), and nearly everyone I met that worked at a shop had an abnormally skinny nose. Not a big fan of this town either, even though I've lived here my whole life. Those "help wanted" signs are still up because there's no workforce here: the adults work in Indianapolis and they give their kids so much money they don't need jobs in high school. The ones that do often wash out because they've been babied and coddled their whole lives by their family. Not that I'm bitter, that's just how it is here. Nice enough town, I guess, good people and a safe, stable environment to raise a family, it's not a place I'm staying.

Dude you have a cool town! Around Zionsville all I see are Mercedes-Benzes and Audis and BMW's. I swear they're more common than Fords and Chevys and Dodges here. The Exige was an outlier but an awesome one at that.
