My friends need a pick up but my 2006 Civic's left brake light is out.
Questions:
1. How much does it cost to fix a tailight, or buy the bulb
2. If the Ontario Provincial police pull you over for a busted brake light, do they ask for the car's registration and your insurance
3. Does the 2006 Civic DX use the same bulb for braking and turn signal?
I need these questions answered within the next 5-10 minutes

1. About 5 bucks.
2. Probably. Stop riding dirty.

1) Most bulbs are around $5-7.
2) In ontario having a taillight or brake light out is not a ticket as long one light, in addition to the cyclops works. It also depends on the stop but in general have those insurance things with you in the car at all times.
3) No idea.
4) I personally would not hesitate to drive with a broken taillight. Then again, I got pulled over for a broken headlight, (although I just got a warning). I would fix it when practicable. Fixing the cavaliers taillight was easy as hell.

Why would you come here and ask as opposed to spending five minutes Googling it yourself? Because that's exactly what we would do to answer your question.
1. Dirt fucking cheap.
2. Yes. If you have a bill of sale, they'll probably let you off with a fix it ticket.
3. Nope.

It's actually not a ticket as long as one of the two works. That being said...it's probably probable cause for a run the registration stop.

Actually I had most the answers memorized, but I agree that this was ridiculous to ask these questions to this forum.
As a matter of fact as long as you have one working taillight, it's not against the law in ontario.

1. A couple of dollars. An easy swap in the parking lot of the Canadian Tire at which you can easily find the bulb.
2. They could very well pull you over for it and yes, they will ask you for the registration and insurance if they do. You'd likely only get a warning for the taillight though so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just fix it soon.
3. Quite likely but either one should be easy/cheap to replace if they're not the same.

the problem is, my mother is out somewhere and she didn't leave me with any of the papers.

Are there not copies in the car? If not, make copies soon and just take the car and don't do anything that'll call for being pulled over. I've gotten just a warning for being unable to produce the insurance papers before (it was in the car but I couldn't find it being nervously pulled over for the first time and in my parent's truck).

usually no, since my mom was the only one to drive it for 7 years and she always has her wallet.

Ah, our cars are frequently driven by different people in the family so we keep copies in the car and the originals at home. If it's not a far drive, just go pick up your friends. Police are plenty understanding as long as you're not driving like a complete asshat.

I've actually decided against it because the drive is a solid 20-30 minutes. I'd go insane from the pressure of cops
