Windshield suction-cup phone mount to the rescue.

Kinja'd!!!

My Lumia 521 is standing in for my main phone, my Lumia 925 with which I took this picture.

I think I leveled up my laziness

Don't have to pick up the phone. It's just there. Hovering in front of me.

Aaah, so you just use the speakerphone when somebody calls then?

Why i never thought about this?

Now let's see if they made a big enough suction cup for my phone (Xperia Z Ultra)

Just ordered a friend a Gripgo for the car also. How do they fare against other types?

Do you find Windows 8 as extremely frustrating as I do?

Good idea BTW.

In my opinion, its a real pain if you don't have a touchscreen.. But if you do, it helps a lot.

Also, is a great thing to download called Classic Shell.. It brings the start menu back!

Its a big learning curve

This is a $10 thing from Walmart that uses a sticky-pad to hold the phone on, except it's strong enough it could hold my mom's 11" laptop in place. Pretty damn amazing. Combined with the image stabilization of my Lumia I should have some decent footage at the autocross this weekend :D

I got my GripGo from Walmart for $10, and I'm honestly really surprised. It's sticky as hell to the point of almost disassembling my phone if I pull it off the wrong way, and assuming a clean surface the suction cup is ludicrously strong.

The only downside is it's not *terribly* adjustable. The phone itself is on a ball joint that allows for some tilting and rotation, and then the whole thing goes up/down at the suction cup, but that's it.

I've been using it since the Developer Preview came out, so I'm really used to it. For mouse users the recent Windows 8.1 Update (not 8.1, the 8.1 Update colloquially called 8.1.1) adds a close and minimize button and titlebar of sorts to tablet-style apps, and they also appear on the taskbar.

Windows 8 gets a lot easier if you think of the Start Screen as just a full-sized start menu that has animations. The speed increase over Windows 7 and improved boot times, along with things like a way more robust task manager, way better hardware support (every piece of hardware in my 4-year-old laptop worked out-of-the-box except for the fingerprint reader) and super-sexy file copy dialogs are too good of a reason to stick with Windows 7.

Frankly, nothing changed for me since I launch programs by hitting the start button and immediately typing in the name of what I want to launch. Nothing has changed as far as how that works.

My mom has a Lenovo Yoga 2 with Windows 8 and it really comes to life on a touchscreen, but overall with the latest updates it really isn't bad with a trackpoint/touchpad/maus-n-keyboard.

Just ordered from fleabay the same unit for about the same price as yours posted but also ordered a flex-arm type mobile holder so she has an option of how she wants or which to use.

She admitted to me this morning she has answered the phone on a few occasions whilst driving, with her two kids in the car. I gave her a severe telling off as she has a long journey coming up with her two kids and I'd hate to think of anything happening to them all, especially over something that can wait like a phonecall.

Of course I'll be driving home to her again how wrong it is to use the phone while she's driving so thought I'd get her and the kids something for the drive down to lighten the mood. Two travel urinals and travel vomit bag. :) Should lighten the mood when I give her them after telling her off again. Lol.
