1969 Oldsmobile for 1200 dollars. Question is are you willing to pay for all this rusted goodness? I say nice price because it is hard to go wrong with anything that is 1200 dollars. I see a cool beach rod vibe with surfboards on the roof rake.

Can't tell. Might need thousands to even move under its own power.

If nothing structural is rotted out underneath and it does actually run/drive/stop it is definitely NP.

Only one way to find out, though - am I right?

NP. I just picked up a running/driving 1973 Olds Delta 88 for $1500. If it is a full-size you might be able to get a good example for cheap, but you won't be able to get a good Cutlass for that money unless it is malaise.

A 1969 would be a lot of fun with the higher compression motors.

Looks like good shape to me. I bought a 72 Cutlass for $100 and drove it home. I'd do it in a heartbeat. I would love to have another Olds, but I have no money.

We need more Oldsmobile people on here anyway. I'm lonely.

You bought a 72 for 100 bucks? When was this? That is a great price.

2010. It is my first car.

The original owner was terminally ill and it was left in his yard until the ground eroded away from around it. (This was the 70s/80s) I bought from the second owner (who was a friend of my dad) for really cheap because he wanted to see it restored/being used.

It was barely drivable. I got it started by filing the battery contacts and pouring old lawnmower gas in the carb. Brakes were shit and it blew the radiator hoses as soon as I pulled into my driveway. Regardless, I thought it was impressive since it hadn't run in about 8 years.

The previous owners had the oil changed every 3 months, regardless of whether it was running at the time or not. They saved the motor.

I would up restoring the entire thing with my dad. It's not the most professional restoration, but we did out best.

Heres a picture.

If it wasn't a wagon (my opinon). I'd buy it.

Looks like it has all the expensive trim pieces. For a '69 not bad.
