The wagon needs new wheels guys. The stock RT polished aluminum wheels are starting to see some corrosion and the finish is flaking on one wheel. The tires are due to be replaced anyway.
So here's what I'm thinking. Originally, I wanted to go with the Charger PI Wheels that look like these:
They're standard 18x7.5 wheels that would be the same as stock sized.
Now I'm starting to think maybe I should go with something else. I'm not sure what I do want though.
Let me tell you what I don't want. I do not want this or anything similar:
I don't want anything larger than 20" and I don't want anything stupid.
I don't want anything flashy, so chrome is out. Brushed aluminum or black, unless you can really give me a good sell. The stock wheels look okay, but given the corrosion, I'm not going to risk it. Ever break an alloy wheel? Not fun, right?
So, sell me something, and throw in a bridge if you have one lying around. If you deviate from stock size, suggest tires to fit as well. Stock Magnum tires are 225/60R18. The largest tire it can fit is a 255 (some say 265 is a tight fit, and I'm not looking for a tight fit when it comes to my contact patch).
I'm not opposed to staggering front and rear, and think that it could look pretty damn good as well (such as moving up to a 9" width in the rear, or something of that nature. Consider the car an open canvas, and be creative, but try to be serious, because I'm looking to do this in the next couple weeks if it can fit my budget. My fallbacks are the 5 spoke steelies, and may go for them on the side for autocrossing, but no guarantees. As far as cost is concerned, I want to keep this all under around $1000. The lower I can keep it, the better.
Lastly, remember that while a good look is important, I want these things to be durable as well. I live in NJ. Potholes are a part of life. If the wheels can't handle a pothole, they don't belong on this car. I avoid them, but there are some wheel destroying monsters out there that I don't want to fall victim to.
EDIT
Considering my Mag is black, this is exactly what it would look like with the wheels. Same color, I just need to find those dog dish center caps. I'd be leaving the trip pieces on my doors though, unless they just started to fall off. Then I could be convinced to remove them.

I dig these. I was actually looking for a black SRT-8 Magnum a few years back and I thought this looked on point.

I honestly really like the steelies.
There's very few aftermarket wheels I find attractive. I would probably only stick to SRT wheels, and they wouldn't be practical for you.

The next town over from where I live actually uses Magnums as cruisers! The rims on them look killer!
Heres a pic I found online of the cop car, sorry its awful resolution

I was just going to suggest these viper repica wheels. I love them. I run powder coated black first Gen SRT wheels in the summer, and crappy dipped 5 star 18s in the winter.

The SRT wheels are really nice too. I even saw someone who had the S filled in, so the wheels just had RT left on them. Nice mod, and looks really good, not ricey. I just think the steelies are far safer in the long run.
Now to find a good set of rubber for it. The Contis are okay, but I think I want something a little better. Later in the year, I may purchase a second set of steelies just for snow tires, considering how cheap I can find them for (under $300 for a full set of brand new ones).

That's pretty menacing, I wish I lived closer to you so I could see these more. Now that it's warming up, I'm seeing a lot more Magnums start appearing. Mine wont go to sleep for the winter though, I couldn't bring myself to lock it up like that, not when there's snow to play in.
