Yeah mine's been well cared for, and I change the oil every 3000 even though it looks new-ish. I think someone replaced the oil pickup tube or cleaned the screen because I've had 0 problems. Oil light never comes on, and I have near 0 oil consumption.

Her was burning oil like mad apparently, though I never noticed anything out of the ordinary. But the warning light is useless, because by the time it started coming on, there was virtually no oil in the engine. I'm talking the dip stick was 100% dry.

They either burn it, or the pickup gets clogged and starves the top end of oil.
