There is a small car dealership around the corner from my house (literally, I could walk there if I wanted to). The owner was a former Le Mans racer and all around nice guy. He doesn't carry much ,but every once and awhile he gets in some pretty cool hardware. So every now and again I will check the inventory at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ...in what I like to call "browsing the pumpkin patch."

1997 Ferrari 456 GTA- 29k miles $45k

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! $ !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

1956 Corvette 47k miles $75k

1970 Triumph TR6 92k miles $14,500

1996 Miata 5-speed 63k miles $8k

That's why you never want the A to come after GT

I think this was the only F car with a slushbox. I could be wrong though. They may have made one in the 70s to cater to the mafia.

Haha I was thinking the same thing. It's the most fashionable looking slushbox I've ever seen.

My brother had a 1976 Triumph TR6. It was a blast.

What do you think of the 456 GTA? Is it reliable? Fast? It's sorry of dowdy looking to me, but always intrigued me.

Somehow I knew I'd find you here. Too bad it's a GT A

412 came with an auto as well, but I can't think of any others at the moment

That was the one I thought may have come with one but I was too lazy to Google.

Now I want a 412 auto just because, haha.

I don't think the Ferrari is reliable nor terribly fast considering what else you can get for 45k...but it is still a V12 Ferrari

You can shift between Neutral and Drive all day long, The Fast & The Furious style.

What are your thoughts on the 2006 M5? I really like those and want to get one some day...

Seems like a decent price but I haven't really looked into it. I say either go the CarMax route or pick one up for a year, hope it doesn't die and flip it to some sucker.

haha...I will definitely go the Carmax route with warranty (thanks to Doug's columns). I just really like the looks of the M5 but definitely worried about something major breaking which probably has a decent likelihood of happening.
