So I shipped back an item for an exchange to Miami, FL 33166 in early April and tracked it until it was delivered. When I contacted the company about it a few weeks later (they have a 2 week processing time on exchanges) they claimed to not have received it and asked for the tracking number. Now of course, now that I need it I can't find the tracking number - I think the maid threw it out (or maybe the dog ate it, who knows). Either way, it's gone.
I tried checking my computer history for it, and had no luck. I also tried calling my local USPS branch and the corporate number to see if they could look up my tracking number from my credit card number or transaction number from my statement and they apparently don't have that ability. I know exactly when I shipped it, and when it was delivered. Oh, the item was originally purchased past my credit card company's refund date.
After much back and forth with the company, they said that if I could provide them with a tracking number, they would send out a replacement and figure out where my returned defective item went later.
I know this may not be the most kosher way to do things, but it's the only thing I can think of doing. I know the tracking number only shows the delivery city, so I'm thinking if anyone provide me with a USPS tracking number anywhere from March 30th - April 16th that was delivered to Miami, FL 33166, the company will be forced to stop blatantly lying and provide me with a replacement...
Thanks for any advice you all may offer
