Aah, the Ford Flex. Labeled a 'crossover' officially, though it resembles an SUV or oversized wagon. One of the best-looking (IMO) "crossovers" on the road today, yet I've never seen an advertisement for the damn thing, nor do I see many driving around. Being perfectly honest: I see more Chevy Volts in Wichita than I do Ford Flexes.
Also, with moar low it looks like a wagon.
And wagons are sexy.
As for performance, the Flex can be had with a 3.5l Duratec V6 making 262hp and 248 ftlb of torque, or a 3.5l Ecoboost V6 355hp and 350 ftlb of torque (holy shit do want) with AWD as standard on Ecoboost models. The Titanium trim level will do 0-60 in a very respectable 7 seconds.
So oppo, what do you think of the SUV/Crossover/Wagon... thing? Is it an expensive luxury with an identity crisis or a sporty platform to haul the kids to school in style?

I've always really liked them. Thought I was the only one...

They should manufacture this thing with car suspension and car wheels. And call it a fucking wagon because that's what it fucking is.

I have one big (well, its actually a small one, but still) issue with this vehicle: the name!
Why is the boxy, sharp edged car called the Flex? Why is the rounded, soft edged car called the Edge? Shouldn't they be switched?

My mom had one as a rental. I really liked it. It's not for everyone, but for people who want Minivan utility, but don't want a minivan, it's perfect.
Also, dat Ecoboost.

I like it but it's a bit expensive. It would be amazing if it was about 20% smaller. It's a really big SUV, but as a midsize SUV/wagon thing it would be fantastic.

Seriously, the ecoboost is giving me penis envy issues with my 205hp/220ftlb 3.8 liter.

These things are huge. I've always thought they were handsome. Personally I prefer the earlier face.
They feel enormous when you encounter them in traffic.

It is the most amazing road trip car I've ever been in. So much leg room.

I like them, actually I like the MKT even more, I know it's a little weird but the interior is phenomenal if you ask me.
Oh and Car And Driver said they did 0-60 in the 3.5 Ecoboost Twin Turbo in 5.7 in one of these back in '13

I really like the Flex. Wanted one when I got my Tundra in 2012. But holy crap, they're expensive. When I picked up the ST, I wandered the dealership, and they had a nice Limited in the showroom with a sticker of $49k.

It bothers me so damn much!
Am I crazy?

I don't know who Megan is, or the quality of her products, but hey at least it's a start.

I love it. But I'm biased.

You see a ton of them around here in South East Michigan, but I lived in Northern California for the last 5 years and saw maybe 2 that whole time!

We don't even stock them here because we can't sell them. (I love them too)

Think ebay coilovers. . . So they were made for people who just want stance and not performance. They are probably over sprung and under damped.

Is she cute? I dated a Megan once. She was actually a Meghan, but close enough. She was pretty cute. Awesome rack.

She has a decent body, but a face that has been destroyed by too much tweak. . . She also spends most of her time working a corner so take that as you will. . .

Not sure of the quality of them, the were developed for Taurus, Flex and Explorer. They are the only supplier of coilovers for those cars. I imagine they could be pretty good. Either way they are the best available for those cars, lol.

I love the Flex! I want the Ecoboost Flex pretty badly... It's too bad it's so damned expensive. If they just made it a "car" instead of the silly crossover wagon thing it would likely be cheaper (but way harder to hit CAFE targets)
