There was a guy on my way home from work yesterday with a deafening, angle mounted coffee can exhaust on his FR-S. He was revving at the light staring straight ahead, so I let him peel out and race as quick as he could to the next stop light where we both sat again. This time I'm in the lane to get on the freeway, so he cuts over to get on the freeway as well. The light turns green, I pull out nice and easy as he guns it, then I let the boost roll on from second gear and pass him easily before then end of the ramp, not hitting higher than ~80 mph.

He got off the freeway at the next exit.

I don't know why anyone with an 86 bothers to tries to stoplight drag race. Know your equipment.

What do you drive? That's my car in the picture, BTW.

Whoops, I guess I should have mentioned that. This is mine:

Great looking car, BTW. I think blue is my second favorite color for 86 twins, but probably the one I would buy. There's someone at work with an Orange FR-S that looks just fantastic, but I could never drive one in such a flashy color.

People have the 86 all wrong who try to drag race with it. Take it around some corners, not stop lights. Though I will say, I'm ashamed I rose to the bait. I won't do stop light peel outs, but I have a habit of gunning it up on ramps anyway, so I figured why not.

I took a Tangerine Scream Focus ST on an overnight test drive before I bought the FR-S. Dat boost tho. Also couldn't see myself in that colour.

Man, I couldn't find any dealers in my area that did overnight test drives. If I did t need the space, I just may have ended up with an 86. Seriously fun cars to drive, even if they are a bit underpowered.

I've bought a couple of cars from the dealership and kind of made friends with the sales manager. I was trying to buy a used E60 M5 through them, but I couldn't get the financing for it. They lent me the Focus overnight to try and get me in to something off of their lot, but the ST just didn't click. The power was great, but I found the interior cluttered with too many redundancies. I like the styling, but I don't love the styling like I do on the 86.

And, ya, I don't have any pressing need for the extra seats, so there's that.

Yeah the interior is definitely cluttered. Surprisingly cramped in the front as well. The dash invades so much of the passenger area, it's kind of annoying. Plus, MFT is very annoying sometimes.
