But not the V8 you'd think it is!
This image was lost some time after publication.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
The handling and driving dynamics the 944 was famous for with the power of an American V8!
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I'm posting the entire description:
5.3L Gen III V8 (LS based engine from Chevy trucks, code LM7)
LS1 Intake manifold, LS6 cam and springs, ported throttle body, custom mid-length headers to a 2.5" exhaust, ~300 rwhp compared to 120-130 rwhp stock
Transaxle replaced with the stronger 944 Turbo trans with external oil cooler, Trans has the 5th gear from an NA trans which lowers rpm while in 5th.
Dual master cylinders with adjustable balance bar to dial in brakes for specific conditions. Front brakes are from an 87+ 944 Turbo, rears are front calipers from 1st gen RX-7 and 86 Turbo rotors. Brakes are firm and very linear. Brake pedal modified for greater braking force.
Multiple wheel and tire combos available. 18" Turbo Twists with new front and 50% tread rear summer tires. 17" Cayman S 10 spoke wheels with Pilot Sport rubber ~50% tread. Currently mounted are 17" Turbo Twists with Blizzak winter tires ~85% tread.
Lightweight Corbeau race seats ready for a 4-point harness, partially stripped interior-all carpet is in place but most sound deadoning is gone, custom fabricated spare tire well to allow easier transaxle removal.
Aftermarket front and rear bumper, House of Kolor paint-20' paint job, new windshield, resealed rear hatch, rear wiper delete.
Headlight motor delete brackets purchased from rennlist, these allow you to raise and lower headlights manually but remove the headlight motor and bar to reduce weight and free up valuable space for air intake. Relayed and fused headlight wiring harness to prevent headlight switch from burning out with higher wattage headlights.
Autocross and Track suspension setup:
Front suspension uses Yellow Koni adjustable dampers with height adjustable coilovers. 944 Turbo front swaybar. Car is setup for power steering using stock Porsche PS pump and custom mounting bracket and pulley.
Rear suspension has 30mm torsion bars (ideal match for ~400 lb/in springs), yellow Koni adjustable dampers and 944 turbo rear swaybar.
Ride is stiff over broken pavement, feels great once pushed hard on smooth roads.
Car is not visually perfect, ideally would need some touchup work and new paint, but mechanically runs with the best.
THIS IS A NP FOR A V8 944!!

Not the V8 we needed, but the one we deserved.

I am always concerned when it comes to buying pre-modded cars. But I would so do this to this body style Porsche. Seems like a fun purchase to me.

I did actually expect to see an LS since I recognized the 944 and have debated doing the same with mine. Decided against it since I'm poor and already get terrible gas mileage since I enjoy my car too much. Plus it would upset the 50/50 weight distribution.

No thanks. I'd save the money for a turbo S2. LSx swaps bore the crap outta me. They downright piss me off in Euro cars. To me they are like that famous painting that that one woman tried to restore awhile back but instead totally messed it up. Gets the job done crudely and doesn't do justice to the original idea.

There is no Turbo S2. You mean Turbo S or an 944 S2?

haha well that's what I get trying to talk about Porsches! Either one of those would be fine by me. Or turbo an S2?
