My MiTo and Punto Evo Sport. Same 1.4T engine that's shared with my car, but I bumped the Fiat's engine to 1.6L and added a Race intercooler, exhaust, intake, flywheel and valves. The Alfa has Race intake, exhaust, and valves with a Steet fuel system. I know it's just a video game, but these numbers don't seem to add up.

Does it take into account the torque bump (and maybe a wider powerband) in the 1.6?
For example, a Honda engine at 2.0 making 200HP is going to be slower than a Ford 5.0 making 200HP, because the total area under the power curve is a lot larger in the Ford. This also assumes you gear up high enough to use the full power band.

Could be something about the route of the intake in the body....makes a difference

Total guess:
Could the gearing be skewing the performance index numbers?
I'm going to guess the Punto Evo has more aggressive gearing than a lowly Mito, giving it faster acceleration, and maybe even top speed?
I've always enjoyed modifying two very different cars to the nearly the same PI number, then tracking them to see and feel the differences.

Will do.

I'd be surprised if they took that into account but it's possible.

Well the Fiat has better handling and braking figures, I built it for B and the MiTo for C, so that's why the PIs are different, though the gearbox in the Alfa isn't up to the same spec Fiat.
And I love compaing cars at the same PI too. I have so many A-class cars that are maxed out for the class and it's hard to decide which to use sometimes.

It's the bodykit on the Punto, bro. It adds mad downforce, bro.

I hear you on that. I had so many cars maxed in their classes it was nearly impossible to pick a favorite.
I play more 'casually' now meaning, I don't try to go for the top lap time anymore when modifying. I'll build more based on my inspiration at the time. Like, I read a great Oppo article about a Corvair, then think about how great it would be to have a race prepped Corvair. Then get home and tweak a Corvair based on how I would modify for a track day without regard for the PI number. Or what would a v8 e30 be like? Then do an engine swap and nothing else haha.
Some of my favorite cars came out of this process :)
