Hello Oppo

I am looking through my rental car options for my families trip to Ireland and the UK. Within our price range I have found a Hyundai i40 and a Renault Megane Estate for the Ireland leg. I can't seem to make up my mind between the two, they both cost similar and have about the same boot space. Give or take 10 litres. I think the Renault will be a more pleasurable drive then the Hyundai? What do yall think?

As for the UK, I am renting a 320d!!! I have much excite for the Bmw diesel.

Thanks

I'd get the Hyundai based on looks alone... The Megane isn't a very pretty car.

The Hyundai is a surprisingly pretty car. I agree on that.

Megane Estate. Especially if it's the GT-Line. All will likely be 1.5 Diesels. The 90 feels Gutless. The 110 is a little better but sort of drops off above 80. Steering feel gearbox feel are non-existant, but it's comfortable, well equipped and not a bad place to spend time. It's also pretty good on fuel.

That's the one thing you're going to care about when you see how expensive fuel is here.

Locals tend towards the weakest and weediest engines for a reason. And it's not just because we're a nation of tightarses.
