So I wanted some pictures of the SI to use in my upcoming review. Well since this review is not coming anytime soon, I'll share the pictures with you. Just a taste of what's coming in my review is this affirmation (and you can click on it to see what i'm actually talking about) : !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Note : I didn't have the front chrome grille in place

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I don't like the front end much to be honest, it isn't any different from a 2006 Civic (a car that was released in 05, that makes it 9 years old, Honda)

Kinja'd!!!

On an other note, I went as close as I could to the USA-Canada border. And this is what separates us, I think it's amazing.

Kinja'd!!!

You have no idea how much trouble you'd be in if you were to cross that little statue.

Kinja'd!!!

That's what the GPS was showing, the border between Quebec and upstate NY.

Kinja'd!!!

Any ideas what mod I could do to the car? I did HIDs, yellow DRLs, yellow fogs, I removed the VTEC stickers on the side, the front and rear SI badges and plastidipped all the chrome on the front. I was thinking light blue brake callipers.

Kinja'd!!!

Don't stop driving oppo!

Fuckin Nice WRX...

On a serious note, are their snipers on that border or what? Seems too good/easy to be true.

Awesome pictures by the way

If I'm not mistaken, the majority of the US/Canadian border is marked only by those concrete pylons.

There's not enough of an immigration problem to worry. I think it's incredible that nobody used to care and there was simply a road between friendly neighbor countries.

Looks really good. I love the new taillights; they're very Accord Euro-R-esque. I think a mild drop would look really good, and perhaps some more conservative wheels.

There's a street in the Northern United States (I can't recall the name) Where one half of it is Canada, and one the United States. They have a library between the two countries, I'm not sure if this still stands, as it was in a 15 year old documentary.

Looks better with out the Chrome on it. No Honda Civic should ever have chrome on it, besides the Honda badge.

That said my first mod would be painting the chrome stripe on the rear black, or body color.

I was planning on doing it black, but I think I actually like it. The other day tho i just stopped walking and stared at the front end just thinking it looked like a shit, so the chrome is maybe coming back.

My cousin works at the canadian customs and said that if i wanted to cross this, border patrol would be there in a matter of minutes. I can't believe nobody was watching me when i went there tho

They're alright, just not my cup of tea. The BRZ/FRS has similar wheels that otherwise hurt an otherwise attractive car. I guess it's just the style these days.

I'll be honest - I'm not much of a fan of the latest gen Civics. My favorite generation was the 06-10, with the last Si's in that time frame being the best in my opinion. I feel like the newest one is too similar to the standard cars, and doesnt have as much character.

That said though, I really think removing the chrome up front does WONDERS for the car. It transforms the whole front end and makes it look sportier - good choice there. I will say the car sits pretty high though. Kind of surprised it doesn't get more of an aggressive stance from the factory.

But all in all, congrats and enjoy! I'm sure its still a blast to drive just like Si's always have been. Stay safe!

Damn do I applaud Honda for those wheels. Favourite thing of the car. The rear lights are also brilliant compared to the packman piece of crap that was the ninth gen

When I got it my dad said ''holly shit look how there isn't much space between the wheel and the car'' i just replied ''are you serious there''

I think both trims pieces would look best in body color. Black is plaid out, and chrome doesn't belong on a sport compact.

I'm not any type of expert, but nice shots. I like the contrast of the greenery with the red car.

There are already Civics out there that have the same rear end sans the chrome strip, and they look like they are missing something.

So no, I think body colour would be a bad choice.
