First BBQ of the season. Made shrimp kabobs, chicken kabobs, veggie kabobs, pork-and-pineapple kabobs, brats, caprese salad, devilled eggs, potato salad, pasta salad, and served a couple of pies and a jello mold. Also, sangria and five different kinds of beer. Now, there is so, so much leftover. Someone had better help me drink all this freakin' beer.

So you're hosting a mid-week Cars and Brews event? haha

That actually sounds fun, except for the fact that parking on my street is a cluster.

I smoked up some ribs over the weekend then brought them to a party on Monday. I warmed em up on the grill... that counts?

I made pancakes and had one kind of beer. But yours sounds cool too, try not to be jealous.

I cooked ribs on the grill for the first time. I was pretty happy with how they turned out

I did. Went the simple route because we were threatened with nasty storms all Sunday. The simple route being:
Jalapeno Cheddar Smoked Cheeseburgers
Fresh Bratwurst
Friends and family brought the sides. I'm now inundated with macaroni salad and surplus booze. I'm not complaining

We grilled 3 beautiful steaks last night and one of them became my lunch today.

oh you know I was camping, grilling and drinking a shit ton of beer this weekend. I think Sunday I drank 15-20 Narragansetts and Busch. Didn't feel a thing

Yep! Same thing since I had a bunch of people and needed to get food done fast.
Top round with a homebrew steak rub alongside Asian soy/orange marinaded chicken. Marinade was a homebrew too- of Fanta Orange w/soy sauce, ketchup, mustard, garlic, cayenne, sea salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Grilled chicken with fresh herbs out of the garden stuffed in the skin, grilled carrots, eggplant, potatoes and corn. Also had a couple of different salads.

If you had invited me I would have removed so many kebobs.

The grill we have is garbage so I used the oven to make some ribs.
First time in three years and oh my goodness they were so good I practically drove around handing them out so others could experience such joy.
*I actually went to my girlfriend's house and fed 6 people

That chicken marinade sounds pretty crazy. How was it?

Pretty decent, but not sensational on the chicken. 6/10. I forgot to mention I added some white vinegar as well. On the other half of the top round (not pictured) I used the same stuff and it was good, probably an 8/10.
The story behind it is that I do a Coca-Cola marinade from time to time and that's great on both chicken and steak. This time I had no cola so I winged it with Fanta and just pulled out the worcester sauce for more soy. I had no idea that people were even coming over when I made it- I was just making lunch for the week. So I was pretty nervous to feed guests a "food experiment". I'll eat whatever success or miserable failure I make but I want to make sure guests have something to eat.
Next time I make the Fanta sauce I am going to add a sesame flavor and go a little heavier on the garlic and black pepper.

haha, I'm the same way with my experiments. You can't go wrong with more garlic and black pepper. mmmm, I'm hungry now. Going to try to make some fish tacos when I get home. I made salmon and scallops yesterday, and have a lot of cold cooked salmon left. (When I drink I make too much food).

LOL. I am the same way. Way too much food.
I gotta get back to seafood one of these days but I'm working on variety in chicken and beef. Gotta make something uncommon and tasty!

Smoked about 10 links of venison sausage, 6 venison short round steaks wrapped in bacon, a big hunk of backstrap wrapped in bacon, grilled some chorizo, got a keg of Shiner Ruby Redbird for the kegerator, and we moved the TV outside so we could watch Indy and Monaco while swimming in the pool. It was a good weekend.
