Is better than an angle-tastic, $56,880 Equinox
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

My mother has an 05 escape, and it is dreadfully boring to drive.

It also has almost 10-year-old chassis technologies though..

it probably is over 10 years old now, because they release the cars the year before. but a manual car that is even older would be better even though the technologies are really old.

My grandmother just bought a White Diamond 2012 Cadillac SRX Performance Collection and I absolutely love it. It rides and drives like a dream and has plenty of power. Of course, thanks to depreciation, she paid less than half of what this one here costs.

If you have to go for one of these, buy a used low-mileage 3.6 engine model.

My mom has a current Escape with the 2 liter Ecoboost. Driving it is like riding the world's sportiest Elephant.

I mean, my mom's Vue doesn't make as much power (257HP 3.6 vs 308HP 3.6), but it still feels like it has plenty of go to it, and probably drives just as well. When they're essentially the same car underneath, it's hard not to drive the same.
And we only paid half this out the door new. I refuse to let my mom replace her Vue with a tarted up Equinox when her Vue is perfectly good.

Which is what she did. 2012 with the 3.6 and 31,000 miles. :-)

Didn't these come with a pretty sweet turbo V6?

For like one year they offered a 2.8T engine, then they killed it in favor of the N/A 3.6.

Oh, I don't keep up with crossovers, just knew at one time it had one.

I wish they would've kept it. It gave the car a little exclusivity at least.

Yeah, but I think it was a Saab engine, so I guess that's where it went.

another thing is you may think it would have a decent suspension, its good most of the time, and while our local roads aren't paved by the gods of tar and rock, they are semi-decent most of the time, it can ride fairly harsh at times.

no. The Cadillac is going to be way better. I know at least on the older SRXs they had the megnetic suspension. That makes a HUGE difference. Also chassis tuning, sound dampening, and power. These things actually exist and make a difference.
