Well, we sold it to my uncle, who's been taking care of it and driving it on the weekends. Parents sold it because they were moving / downsizing, and wouldn't have space for it... I think I'm gonna ask my uncle how much he wants for it.

Atleast you can easily find it then, lol :) My house just had 3 vehicles leave ..and half the garage cleared of other hobbies...so I have so much room now!! One of my cars will go in the garage soon, the Beetle leaks..like Beetle's do, so it lives carb parked in front of my house..Now I need things to fill up 3/4 of my 4 car driveway..lol... race car trailer and a truck maybe..

We got the Beetle when I was 4. Dad went out for a loaf of bread and came back with a ratty Beetle instead. We had it professionally restored, and owned it ever since. I drove it primarily through high school, and when I left for college my dad transferred jobs and my parents moved. They didn't want me taking the Beetle to college, so they sold it to my uncle... Still in college, but god I miss that car. It's probably the single greatest influence in me becoming a car person, and really started my passion of working on / driving cars.
Race car trailer and a truck to tow it seem like a great use of driveway space!

Got mine when I was 15 then me and my (now ex) step dad restored it, wasnt ready for me to drive it so I drove a explorer through HS, and a bit after, then got a Cruze, then got my Z, and started driving the Beetle and the Z, so..now I have 2 cars :) Z will become the race car of course, need a truck to DD and tow though :)

Daily the Beetle. Drive the Z to the racetrack. Save driveway space for BBQ and basketball. Haha

Lol, I'd like too, buttttttt... I live in Colorado..and the Beetle's heater is almost worthless in Winter..mostly worthless. And my closest track is over a hour and a half away, and through Denver, Denver which has ..non race car friendly streets, and my back will hate me if I try, lol.

Your Beetle's heater is almost worthless? You might want to get that checked out... mine has literally melted a pair of shoes.
I understand about Denver's non race car friendly streets, though. Haha

Most Beetles heaters are, above 40 mine works fine..below, no so much. I floated my Beetle in flood water a few days ago (floated it about 6 feet turning off of a main road, lol) and somehow the water runing along the heater box's instantly fogged up my windshield, lol
