completely ignoring all road rules and common courtesy and run bicyclists over.
Almost got sideswiped by a red Saturn that I barely heard in time - in my own neighborhood. Thanks, neighbor.
...ok, to clarify so I don't look like one of those douches who think all motor traffic should just let cyclists do what they want, since that's the impression I get from the comments...standard residential street, no designated bike lanes, I was way the hell over to the right in my lane and was about to turn left when all of sudden I just heard that Saturn rush by in time. Wouldn't been nice if he had at least honked his horn so I knew he was there.

Isn't that the 'Murican way? Or is it "Don't give a F*" day in your neighbourhood?

Every day is run bicyclists over day. That's why I'm hyper aware and always wearing a helmet when I cycle, I've already had one pretty scary crash.

It's a refreshing change around here, where every other day of the year is OH MY GOD THAT ASSHOLE ON A BIKE FORGOT THAT HE'S ON A VEHICLE AND JUST ZOOMED THROUGH THAT STOP SIGN AND I ALMOST RAN HIM OVER I GUESS HE WANTS TO DIE IN THOSE SHORTS! day.

On a similar note I saw this weekend cyclists riding side by side on a windy road, blind old people, assholes in SUVs that can't even keep them in their own lane and multiple runners running in the road and not on the completely open sidewalk.

While I sympathize, the other 364 days in the year seem to be "don't follow the rules of the road" days for cyclists.
Looking at you, NoVA cyclists riding in the street (three-wide, even!) when there's a perfectly good path for you all to use.
