Football (no, not " soccer ") person Zlatan Ibrahimovic apparently got himself a Porsche 918 Spyder ... and sure enough someone snagged footage of him starting the car and taking off in a decidedly classy manner.

How modest of him not to sho-* BRAAARRGH*

Spotted in Stockholm; clip found via Dutch ABNL.

I don't think I've seen a 918 in gloss black until now. 11/10 would dragon.

Hehe.. that was a puny burnout.. I'd expect better from Zlatan :)

Eh, give him some time. I'm sure he'll embrace his inner hoon eventually!

Yup, it goes a long way to show just how curvy-yet-simple the 918 seems. It's also the first time I found the greenish calipers almost tacky.

Gustav from GTBoard.com (the channel where this video was posted) is getting kinda annoying with these car spottings. Sure, he gets lots of views so you can't really blame him. But it was better once.

Give that boy a Viper and we'll see burnouts from here to eternity :P

Zlatan is probably my favorite person in the whole world.

Hm ... I only remember his name from the X vs Z drag racing antics.

If I was being pestered by photographers all day, I'd get the hell out of that town BTW. Maybe I'm too sensitive. Maybe they don't pay me enough money to suffer it. :D

'That so? I must do some research on his driving style, it seems.

Question, though ... can you even do a burnout from a standstill in the 918, I wonder?

So that's how it happens...I always pretty much figured that they pulled away in all-electric mode. No way to start the V8 from a dead stop I guess. But that's also kind of cool...you pull out silently and then BAM! A flat-plane V8 screams to life inches from your head. Still my favorite car.

It's funny, he seems to have plenty of money yet he still gets all little-boyish around these cars. But I can't really blame him. Although his DD is an M6 GC I think and I hate him for that.

I'm pretty optimistic that you could release the Kraken at will.

Even if you could not ... this kind of start must make you feel pretty kinky.

"Alright, Officer! Yeah, you too have a nice day, Sir! ... " *click* Weeee-BRAAAAARGH" :D

Bonus: It's probably a great way to startle people at the lights.

Oh yeah. 10 foot rollout then ear-rape begins. They won't even know what happened.

Wasn't the M6 a loan from BMW for "journalistic purposes"? I think his DD is a 997 Turbo S. Which makes me hate him just as much.

Yes. He's an awesome guy when it comes to the way he reacts to these cars. But he's getting kinda annoying recently on the videos and general stuff.

Dunno. No one really physically bothered the guy. Apparently no one stopped him or shouted at him with questions. So.. as long as no one actually bothers me, they can take all the pictures they want. TBH these were (apparently) the most respectful paparazzi I've ever seen! No sneaking, no jumping all over, no shouting, no swearing...

I would like to see one up close. I know he was born in Sweden, but I don't follow football.

Ohhhh that might be. I wasn't sure. He seems to always have something new/expensive/awesome all the time. If I had a 997 Turbo S I'd go to jail like 4 times a day every day.

You can select different settings that favor electric mode / efficiency, or outright performance including letting the engine run permanently. Imagine how annoying it would be to have it turn itself off decelerating on the track.
