Kinja'd!!!

That was the response my friend gave me after I shared this craigslist post with him.

You see, I only said "wtf is that?!?!" at first, but I'm very glad that my friend was a little more level-headed in his reaction, providing me with such valuable advice.

So, it comes with full sized training wheels, or was the back wheel removed for an axle?

The hitch is quite optimistic for a Shadow 750 ACE.

That looks like a detachable trike kit. However, it appears that they added a lot of bits to it, so I doubt they ever take it off.

My father in law, who has been riding for almost 50 years was thinking about getting a kit for his big touring bike. Why? He is beginning to have a had time holding him and his wife up on it when they ride together. He has no issues my himself, but is nervous about dumping it and her one of these days.

He thought the kit would be great. Attach for their long trips, then leave himself two wheels when they didn't.

After looking into it, realizing it wasn't so "easy" to take on/off, and the added storage of the kit when he wasn't using it, he said, "fuckit" and bought a trike.

While I think trikes are no substitute for two wheels, I'm glad they exist, so older (or handicapped) bikers can keep riding.

This one, though. Ugh - that diamond plate..

While I'm not really a fan of real trikes myself, I have nothing against them. This though... no, just no, I can't condone it.

lol

I've seen the trikes that have 3 permanent wheels but I've never seen anything like this.
