I had very high expectations going in and was a little disappointed we didn't see any real scrap between the mercedseses.

Still plenty of intrigue, kinda thinking it wasn't worth waking up early for. At least I didn't have to put pants on.

The last laps were almost exciting... but I wonder if Ricciardo wasn't weighing "certain podium" against "risky maneuver", and chose the conservative route... or are the Mercedes cars just that much better that it was never really a possibility?

There are so few places to pass It would be hard to risk your first podium.

It was a hell of a parade. Definitely the best parade I've seen in years and i'm from Louisiana and attend mardi gras every year.

Have you seen Hamilton take off into the tunnel? Ricciardo couldn't really expect to pull an overtake going into the chicane.

He might pull one before the main straight, since Hamilton had problems there in the last laps of the race, but, again, Mercedes accelerates out of the corners much quicker.

Red Bull could pull a tighter turn going into a corner, but to get around the car in front, their corner exit was simply too slidey...
