Watch a Hyundai i30 fail a Moose Test because the steering goes all kablooey

I don't understand much of the language, however at the moment of power steering loss... I know THAT word.

Or one that sounds just like it.

Anyone know what part of Sweden is his accent from? I usually can understand a little bit of Swedish but I couldn't here.

The video show exactly why you should never put your thumb inside the wheel, when the wheel jerks left he could have easily broke his left thumb if he had it in there!

Dunno but it appears that 'fuck' is fairly universal....

Back in the day, they called it the steering wheel for its similarity in diameter.

I was expecting "skit", which is Swedish for "shit", pronounced the same but spelled different. "Fuck" is English, not Swedish, but yes, he used it.

Doesn't "fuck" have Scandinavian/Nordic roots, though?

Isn't that the "whit" that they say all the time on Swedish TV dramas? I think there's part of Sweden where sj or sk is a sh/sch sound and another where it's something like the English wh. I don't know if you got The Bridge, a Danish/Swedish joint production, where there was lots of talk about "whepp" for skepp or "ship"

Oh, the elk/moose test rears its head again! I remember what happened to the Merc A class when the Swedes tried that.

Perhaps, I'm not familiar with Swedish TV dramas.

I think "FUUUUUCK!' pretty much transcends language barriers and cultures.
