What does Oppo think?
So did Nico really fucked up his lap on purpose to cause a yellow flag and prevent lewis from making a faster lap? (Which he was doing so far)

Kinja'd!!!

Dont know how long this video is going to last, but here's Rosberg's mistake

Never attribute to malice what is adequately explained by stupidity.

I don't think he did, part of this is me believing Nico to be a fairly decent sort of bloke, part of this is because I think it would be too much of a gamble for this tactic to actually work. He did pull right to the end of the escape road , as though he was trying to avoid a yellow flag situation and if you truly wanted to do that, surely it would be easier to spin the car?

Nah, racing incident. Small mistake from a driver trying hard, no more than that. It's an unlikely plan for someone to try in any case, but when it's about something so entirely ordinary as this minor incident, it's hard to see why anybody's even looking for any unusual explanation.

It doesn't make sense to look for a conspiracy in the first place.

The conspiracy doesn't make much sense.

Rosberg is either a great actor or not the type to, let's not beat about the bush, cheat.

None of that matters, though. The stewards, who have much more data than we do, investigated the incident thoroughly and cleared Rosberg of any deliberate wrong-doing. Let that be an end to it.

Well i wasn't sure to believe what the people commented on TV, Your comment makes more sense than those who narrate the Formula 1. The stewards would have penalized him if it was on purpose.

My question is, why would they throw the yellow when Q3 is about to end and his car is well off the track and in no danger? Intentional or not it is still a big FU to Lewis after the comments he made about Nico yesteruday.

In an interview yesterday he references that he had a rougher upbringing from where he grew up in GB vs where Nico grew up in Monaco and that causes Nico to not have the same 'hunger' to win races that he does. It was pretty much a slap in the face to Nico

I only really heard what the BBC commentators had to say about it, as far as commentators go. They were pretty dismissive of the idea of it being deliberate.

I think it's more notable what Rosberg had to say, because to his credit he said he wouldn't want to take pole this way, and doesn't really count it as a victory over Hamilton.

And let's not forget the risk, as well. If he had been penalised, he'd have faced a several-place grid penalty at the very least. His team would have been, rightly, absolutely livid about losing a front-row lockout because of an attempt to cheat in a battle between their own drivers.

To go with that, it was only the slightest of errors. We know that because at Monaco anything other than the slightest of errors ends up in the wall.

Put it all together and it just doesn't add up.

Thats true, it would be worse if he had been penalized than to be starting second on the grid.
