I met my wife in Akihabara last night as she wanted to take her friend to a maid cafe. I have been to maid cafes many years ago but I'm a bit older, slightly more sensible, and a lot more married now so not supposed to ogle Japanese ladies in maid uniforms. It felt like she went to a strip club without me. Anyway, as I went to meet her I spotted a few itasha and took a couple of quick photos for oppo.

also, on a side note, are you worried about radiation? i got some fish food from japan recently (hikari brnd made of fish meal) and got extremely paranoid.

I'm in Tokyo so not worried, there was a recent news article saying that radiation levels here are less than London (where I lived before moving here) and Paris. I fly a lot for work and probably get more exposure that way. I lived in Hiroshima previously and again, nobody is really worried about radiation although survivors of the bombing have yearly checkups and are still having radiation-related health issues.
There's still an exclusion zone around Fukushima though but people are moving back to towns nearby, which is good.

Thank you so much for the reply :). Can I add you to my contacts? what is your email?
I am concerned about the fukushima stuff, so having a contact in Japan is really really , well, great!
How old are the survivors now? do you know anyone personally?
