I'd personally pick the SS. With that you get straight-line speed and cornering ability. And it comes fully loaded at that price, while you still have to add options to the Charger to get the same level of toys.

I'd lean toward the SS for the same reason that some people hate it. It doesn't call attention to itself and I like flying under the radar, but for me it would come down to sitting in them and seeing which interior suits me the best.

I think as of right now the Charger only comes with that old Merc 5-speed.

SS is supposed to be getting a manual and mag-ride next year.

To most non-car people, the SS just looks like any other family sedan, and that really attracts me to it as well.

Having sat in both, it's a close match.

A few months back, I'd choose the SS. Now, I'd choose neither and wait until the 2015 Charger SRT comes out with the 6.2 Supercharged HEMI.

I'm hoping the new Charger is enough to give GM the motivation to put the LT1 in the SS. Then maybe the LSX as another trim level called SS-R or something.

I know neither of these will happen, but still.

charger. I felt like an idiot the other day when a chevy was behind me - but I didn't know if it was the SS, Impala, or some top-spec Malibu. That's not ok in your flagship sport sedan

There's an unmarked cop car around here nearly identical to the one I pictured above, I watched it chase down an Evo 7 or 8 for running a red light, sounded awesome.

They still have a red Falcon XR6 Turbo and I've been wondering which is quicker in the real world.
