you really don't. You want to look at one. Not drive and own one.

I had one for about three years. It started as a 1992 Base model with the 2.2 and the 3t40 three speed automatic. No options other than air conditioning, a center console, and a tape player. The damn thing didn't even have a rear defroster, cruise control, or a tilt steering wheel.

I loved it anyway, though. I was obsessed with L-bodies (Berettas and Corsicas) for a long, long time. I don't know why, but I was. And I still sort of am, even though the last time I saw my Beretta was when I sold it in April 2007. It died shortly after because the transmission failed. It was dying the entire time I drove the car, but I knew how to baby it and make it last. The new owner did not.

It's a weird love to have, but there still is a community of Beretta owners and enthusiasts. Although, the community has died down a LOT through the years. :( Things change. It's hard to believe the last Beretta was built 18 years ago this year.

Pics of mine, for reference. The middle pic is shortly after my grandfather bought it for me, in 2005. It was owned by an older lady and had 71,000 miles on it. I added Beretta GTU wheels with color matched inserts, a Beretta GT spoiler, tint, Beretta GTU ground effects, and of course a gaudy silver BERETTA windshield banner (because I was sixteen).

Damnit, indeed. Send it straight to its eternal judgment and torment.

You don't want one of those. They are made of paper mache. (I know because long ago a girl rear ended my '76 Celica, which wasn't exactly a tank. I had to straighten my rear bumper, she had to replace the entire front clip.

Yes. Also, I've developed a distrust of GM vehicles (prior to all the recalls that we've been seeing in the past few weeks).

But look at it! It's like that girl at the party that you know has the herp... but you're drunk and she's hot. :(
