Hey oppo just been looking through and seeing that it looks like everybody's been having a hard time. So I think what makes me happy: driving, alright can't do it since my parents took my keys but still. The idea would be that if you're having a shitty day month year whatever tomorrow plan ahead, wake up early, find time somewhere and go for a drive find a backroad do some donuts and just be alone with your car no problems just driving. Leave your phone and problems at home and just do it, enjoy it, and come back with a little more strength to face to day. Good luck to all of you and may we all find some peace.
Have a lancia for your time.

This always helps me, too. Go for a drive, clear my head.

I find it interesting how Oppo has different phases. The morning and afternoon is pretty much normal and mainly car related. Right around 9:30 pm, things get personal. And this stays until around 2:30 am, when the late late crew comes and makes thing... odd (no offense)
So I love Oppo for that.

I'm on the west coast so it's 930 right now but that's quire true I think about now we all relax sit back and know we can always talk about it on oppo.

I think it's because there's something so personal and peaceful between you, the car, and the road. Nothing matters and everything else fades away.

You probably aren't but you'll have to clarify what's Copenhagen?

Its really sad but I feel more comfortable talking to you guys about personal stuff.
I really do need you guys and would be somewhat lost without Oppo.

It's not sad it's partly anonymity the internet provides and partly the shared common interest that lets us all understand each other. That's why I can post something like the idea above and everyone understands why now if I was on a prius forum id be met with shock and outrage and probably censored for suggesting you waste gas on a drive let alone doing something as frivolous as donuts.

That is it. I like knowing that I really will never get to know many of you. I can get help and not be judged or made fun of or have to worry about rumors spreading.
It helps a lot being here. I like being a few clicks away from someone who has been through something similar. I like being able to get all sorts of advice from tons of sources.
I need Oppo.

I feel ya highschool does not inspire self confidence or trust besides car people are always better than regular ones.

hahahhaha usually super duper frowned upon... chewing tobaccos!

The most dangerous thought, for you, is that highschool means anything. Seriously, everyone who drove a nice car and was "popular" just because of......high school......still had to go to college or get trained in a skill or join the military to get somewhere. The majority didn't. They're short order cooks, wait staff, and grocery store staff. My fellow nerd friends and I like to get dressed up in suits when I'm in town, hop in the GTIs and maybe borrow a cadillac or jag from someone, and give them a bit of hell at a restaurant or something. Petty? Maybe. But it is SO satisfying :). Pretty sure I got one asshat fired after he spit on my plate within sight of my table. I don't make a scene often, but when I do, it's to teach a former high school punkass that I did something with my life instead of stay with my parents and work a dead end job. B)

ahh I'll say one thing in its favor no smoke means doesn't ruin the interior?

chewing tobacco is the biggest "NO" for my cars. I have two friends who chew and I refuse to let them chew in my car. They think they can make it into a bottle or soemthing when in a car, but they often miss.

I know im kind of evil, but im looking forward to seeing these kids out on thier own!
I bag groceries now at Publix (hence the name) and am paying for everything from gas to insurance to the car payments itself. I also pay registration and my cell phone and some food. Nothing is handed to me.
I want to be working a good job in a few years and see these rich kids bagging my groceries and helping me out to my new Porsche or whatever expensive car I choose.

I don't think it's that sad, but that could be because I've generally had better online friends than real ones...
