"Logansteno: Bought a VW?" (logansteno)

Yes, yes, I know, "None! Rather have a diesel wagon with a stick!" But if you had to, gun to head, pick one, what would it be?
I'd pick the GMC Terrain Denali
Would have to be AWD with the 301 HP V6.
So boxy and masculine. Not really, but it's an attractive trucklet.
And I think the V6 is the most powerful in it's class? Don't quote me on that.

GLK250, but I'm biased.

GLA45...it is just a lowering kit away from a ridiculous hot-hatch

Volvo XC60 T6 R-Design Polestar, Basically my mom's car, but with a better performance chip. I'll admit I've gone 90 mph (with no cars around) and it handled like a dream.

I like the 2003-06 Matrix XRS/Vibe GT/Voltz Z. 2ZZ in a crossover? Hell yeah! Plus, the Vibe was available in the same shade of green used on the Cayman R, but they are rather rare and 03-only. If I could find one, I'd definitely get a green GT and then paint the calipers red.
Another good choice is the PT Cruiser GT. Basically a Neon SRT4 wagon. And it was even available as a convertible. You could also argue the Caliber SRT4 with its 330-hp turbo-4. It was basically a FWD Evo.
The HHR SS is also something I like more than I should.
But for proper motoring, the Honda CR-V is the best British SUV ever.
Sine I like Toyota reliability, especially 90s Toyota reliability, there is the first-gen Rav4 convertible. What really sets it apart is that it's a crossover and NOT a truck. All the other cute lil convertibles are real trucks (Sportage, Wrangler, Tracker/Sidekick/Vitara, Amigo, Freelander, etc)

That thing equates to an XV Crosstrek in my book. A hot hatch on stilts.

A Range Rover Evoque. Nothing else comes close to that for me

But the XV is slow as shit...and the wheel-fender gap is too much, this is different.

I'll admit I've hit the electronic 101 MPH limiter in my mom's Vue. Didn't even twitch. It had way more it could've given, but that damn limiter.

What are we considering a cross over? Anything that is unibody? I'd probably go Durago or Grand Cherokee with the 5.7L

I always had a thing for the first generation Vibe. Always thought it was a cool looking little crossover.
I feel you on the HHR SS. I shouldn't like it nearly as much as I do.

I was trying to catch up to a friend who was in a V8 4Runner, so I just floored it. He said that he looked in his mirror one second and I was super far away, and a few seconds later I was tailgating him. That Volvo has some mad power.

Same general idea, just way better execution.

Macan Turbo, no sunroof, lowered, interior stripped out, cage and Recaros added.
I bet it would smoke a bunch of sports cars at the track :D

Whatever the NHTSA or IIHS or whatever consider a crossover is fair game.

Mmmm Flex.
Ecoboost?!

Unfortunately, no. My dad has sworn that, if he gets another Flex, it will have Ecoboost. Not that this one is slow, but faster is almost always better.
On the plus side, it is a FWD car with 250lb/ft of torque, meaning the tires are constantly screeching, which gives the illusion of speed.

My wife and I would say our favorite is ours. 2013 Mazda CX-5 Sport. 26 MPG average with all city driving. We got 37 MPG on our last trip to visit my family in Indianapolis. We got it in December of '12 and have enjoyed it ever since.
It is a little down on power, but in day-to-day situations, it's fine. More than enough oomph for safe passing and merging on the interstates. I wish we would have splurged on an AWD Grand touring model, though.

Buying a Crossover for handling doesn't make sense, so this is my choice.

IMO the black bumper graphic makes a huge difference.

Forget your pansy mallwagens. Take your kids to wuss practice all you'd like. I, on the other hand, need something rated to tow 7,716 lbs of being awesome.
I wouldn't even need a GTS per se, although that's my favorite because raceturd. Peridot Metallic or Mahogany Metallic, plz.
I really wouldn't mind one of these for dailyturd/occasional-tows-to-shops-and-trackdays-turd duty. Oh, and if I got a brown one, I'd call it Das Rollende Turd.
Also, there's the whole "tow my Porsche with a Porsche" thing. lololololololololololololol
Also, does your favorite crossover even rally? Dakar? Transsiberia? No? No? OKAY THEN.
(I...I would totally daily one with rally lights all on the front, just because I could. In that livery, too. Haha.)

I really appreciate how Porsche tends to race things they build.
NEED MACAN RACECAR NOW.
Also, the universe would be a lulzier place if Macan Turbos, Nismo Jukes and other hopped-up crossovers were given their own top-heavy race series. THE LULZ COMMAND YOU, MAKE THIS A THING!
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

Saw one in person at the NYIAS and thought it looked good and would look even better lower too. I suspect because of this we won't be getting to many MB wagons.

I don't know why but I just can't like the Evoque. I've never sat in one but I don't like the proportions. Saw one this morning in Red and stared at it for a while and just felt like it looks weird.
