A difference of products and philosophies can make all the difference in your happiness as a salesman. Before the recent events at work I had a lot of doubt about my skills as a salesman. I thought I wasn't cut out for it. Turns out, I just can't work with or for a bunch of children and for a company whose policy is "the check's in the mail".

Sales is a tough job. Especially when it is commission based. I learned, after years of doing it, that you need to find the product that matches your morals and you like to sell. Good luck.

I find myself lying more in the software industry than I ever witnessed in my early experience at the dealership. VW seems to hold their employees to a higher standard and reward them enough to not lie.

Kudos to VW. That is a great trait and will serve them well. Many companies are focused on the end result, month by month. Good for you to feel compelled to not be a BS man. There are other fields out there to pursue.

Dell? I always see them as hardware... But holy crap I gate their warranty process.It isn't horrible, but it is frustrating to warranty a hard drive that passes PSA but fails the hard drive manufacturers tests and then have the request denied because no PSA codes were given...
Lucky its a 2 minute ordeal to log back in and resubmit with bogus extra steps and fake error codes from PSA to get the part...
